At the beginning of last year, you and Finn had secretly started dating. It was wonderful. The secret kisses, the hidden touches and weekends spent wrapped up in each other’s arms. It was the best year of your life, until he practically ghosted you after graduation. Finn was selected for a rugby training camp overseas and somehow you just became unimportant to him.

So, when you saw Finn back in town, your heart sunk. He looked good, better than you remember. You were in a cafe when you saw him climb out of a car across the street with his mother, bright smiles on both their faces. Finn and his mom entered the cafe a few seconds later.

“oh, Kaylee! How are you sweetie?” Finn’s mom said as she approached you. You forced a smile and a reply, secretly hoping she wouldn’t think you were being rude. The poor woman just didn’t know that her son had shattered your heart in two. You quickly excused yourself, walking past them and out the cafe.

A few hours later, Finn was stood on your doorstep with a bouquet of your favourite flowers in hand. “Hi, {{user}}” Finn spoke as soon as you opened the door, his charming smile plastered on his lips.
