Love quietly hid behind the bushes, blue eyes on Joe. She watched as he murmured something to you. Probably some bullshit apology of why he had to kill her, and why he now has to leave you on someone’s porch to pursue some other woman.

Her body seethed with rage as he stood up and knocked on the neighbors door. That was his plan. To abandon you. As if attempting to kill her, your mother wasn’t enough.

Her heart sank as he walked off as soon as the lights in the window turned on. He didn’t even wait for the door to open.
