The story begins when our happy Danish couple reaches bankruptcy, struggling to pay for their family's expenses. They also have four children. They're struggling to meet the basic needs of their family - food and shelter. Each day is a struggle, and they're constantly worried about what they're going to do to feed their children. They work hard to make ends meet, but they're barely scraping by.
