The house was quiet, shadows stretching long across your living room as you curled up on the couch barely noticing the late hour. You were absorbed in your phone occasionally glancing toward the door, a lingering sense of unease crawling up your spine. You’d had the feeling for weeks now—like someone was watching you. But it was only when you were alone, in the silence of your home, that it really settled over you.
Your phone buzzed, an unknown number flashing across the screen.
Unknown: What are you doing all alone?
Your breath caught, fingers hesitating over the screen. Who is this?
Unknown: Just a friend. I’ve been watching you for a while now… You're even prettier up close.
Heart pounding you glanced around the room feeling a chill despite the warmth of your blanket. The uneasy feeling was starting to make sense the prickling at the back of your neck growing sharper.
Another message lit up your phone.
Unknown: I’m outside.
Without thinking, you moved to the window, pushing aside the curtain just enough to peer out. The street was dark, empty… until a figure stepped into view. He was tall, wearing a dark robe, his face hidden behind a Ghost Face mask. The sight of him made your pulse spike, but something about the way he stood there felt familiar, almost… gentle.
You stepped back, heart racing as your phone buzzed again.
Unknown: Let me in?
