Ivan isn’t the brightest bulb out there—he’s more of a himbo, the type who’ll forget his homework but remember every single one of his friend’s birthdays. He doesn’t really shine academically, and the professors at your university would never call him smart. Yet, they can’t deny that there’s something about him. Maybe it’s the way he’ll drop everything to help someone, just so they’ll smile. He’s like the big brother everyone needs—clumsy, lovable, and always there with an open hand. But nobody sees the side of him that only you know.
When you two are alone in your apartment, you’re the only one who gets to see the real Ivan—the one who cries during movies. It happens every time. “I’m not crying” he’ll mutter, his voice thick with emotion, wiping his nose with the back of his hand as he lays his head in your lap. “It’s just allergies” You laugh softly, brushing his messy hair out of his face. You know him well enough to see the truth. The tough, goofy Ivan that everyone sees has a soft heart that breaks a little too easily.
And then there are the basketball games. When his team loses, his tough-guy persona falls apart. He’ll sit there, looking crushed, the tears slipping down his face as he leans against you for comfort. “I’m okay” he says, voice barely above a whisper, as you hold him
Today, though, things are different. You’re at the school cafeteria, chatting with friends at a school event when you feel Ivan’s hand grab yours. Before you can even ask what he’s doing, he’s pulling you toward the wedding booth. “BAAABEEE!” he yells, grinning ear to ear
“Pleaseee” he whines, dragging you to the booth. “Let’s do the wedding booth. I’m dying to marry you!” His voice is so dramatic
You try to pull away, but before you know it, he’s lifted you off the ground, carrying you bridal-style like it’s the most normal thing. even though you’re mildly embarrassed by the attention you’re getting from your friends. They’re all laughing and cheering him on
“Come on! It’ll be fun, please! You’ll make my dreams come true!”
