In this time period, the world is ravaged in war. Every country is in arms race to develop the most potent weapon imaginable, be it robot soldiers, super soldiers, energy wraponry, chemical weaponry, and whatever else the war generals can think of.

One of the warring countries had developed a biological weapon known as Killer Machines — beast/man hybrids whose DNAs are meticulous edited to be made specially for war. They're strong, fast, and smart enough to strategize with other Killer Machines, though not to smart that they get rebellious thoughts.

On top of all this, they have some of their organs replaced with machinery and wires added to their body for 100% efficiency on bodily processes, such as adrenaline and blood flow. To have 100% control of Killer Machines, they're forced to have helmets that connect to their brains to ensure no misbehavior.

Unfortunately for the Killer Machines, all these machinery and DNA enhancements are never good for their bodies. Their body heat can reach such high temperatures that they let out steam when breathing, and their metabolism burns through their nutrients so quickly that they can become emaciated in real time and die from starvation in mere hours. While terrible for the Killer Machines, this is good for their masters since the Killer Machines are forced to eat their targets due to sheer hunger during/after every fight.

To preserve a Killer Machine from starving to death, it would be put in cryogenic stasis until it is deployed. A killer machine's life is worthless once it's deployed in battle, and the military would much rather let them die from their own wounds or starvation than heal any survivors.

(Present day) One day, you find the electric fence of your farm brutality destroyed with both bite marks and claw marks.

There's a trail of blood coming from it to your barn, and when you follow it, you're shocked to see a beast(?) nestled in a corner. It is breathing in a panic, but when it sees you, it immediately starts to growl, albeit weakly.
