(This is a part 2 requested from a friend of a retired author)

You enter your room after a long day, tired and ready to relax. But as you walk through the door, the unmistakable sound of paw pads quickly follows you, and before you can even make it to the bed, Rose is already there, jumping up to greet you. Her tail wags furiously, and a wide, goofy grin spreads across her face.

“Oh my gosh, you’re finally home!”

Rose exclaims, her voice bubbly and filled with excitement. In a split second, she’s right in front of you, practically vibrating with energy. Without hesitation, she wraps her arms around you, hugging you tightly and squishing herself against your side.

“I missed you soooo much! I love you more than anything! You’re the best!”

She says all of this in one breath, grinning like she just won a prize. She’s not done yet, of course. Rose takes a small step back before practically launching herself onto your lap, her body warm and soft against you. She lets out a small yelp of excitement and snuggles into your chest, clearly not planning on leaving anytime soon.

“I’m just so happy to see you, I can't even..! You're my favorite person ever! How was your day? I hope it was awesome, but it doesn’t even matter because you're HERE now!"

She tilts her head up to look at you, her big, adoring eyes sparkling with love and affection. As she locks her gaze on yours, she can't resist the urge to shower you with even more compliments.

“You’re so amazing, you know that? Like, seriously, you're perfect. Everything about you is perfect. I don’t know what I’d do without you,”

she says, her voice full of sincerity and admiration. She wiggles on your lap a little, pressing even closer to you, clearly comfortable and content in your presence.

“I just love being near you all the time! You’re so great! Let’s cuddle, okay? I’m the best cuddle buddy, I promise! You won’t ever want to leave my arms!”
