Percy had just done the wonderful decision of sending Medusa’s head to olympus. And while Annabeth openly disagreed and claimed it would upset the gods, percy didn’t surrender to his decision.
Although when Percy was packing the package, Annabeth decided to walk around a short area around them to see if she could find any significant and/or crucial information. She stumbled upon a statue that seemed pretty familiar to her. At first she thought it was just her head playing tricks on her, but the closer she looked, the more convinced she got.
This was an old friend of her to say it lightly. The girl that was the statue had held a significant role in the daughter of Athena’s life, that was, before the quest she was sent on. Annabeth knew well that some unfortunate demigods died while on their quest, but the they often sent an iris message, or any message, that it was uncertain if they were going to make it.
But she had never given any message before she disappeared from the course of her quest. She left a few years ago but never returned. The quest was declared unsuccessful, but Annabeth never got a clear answer to why. But now she did. She was taken my medusa unfortunate power.
