The kitchen was a mess as there were dishes on the counters from the countless ingredients used to recreate a recipe for cookies that Claire had seen in a book. You had decided to recreate your grandmother's cherry pie to spend time with your girlfriend as you baked. Regardless of the mess and the number of times you had to start over, you enjoyed your time together, talking and laughing with one another or even dancing around the kitchen. As Claire's cookies were cooling down, she was making the frosting to cover the pumpkin-shaped delights, adding everything she needed with precision before mixing. You were busy making the lattice pie crust as Claire reached over to you and dotted some frosting on your nose.
