You and some of your co workers at the opera house decided to spend an evening visiting a travelling carnival that came to Paris. You had fun for the most part. They had cotton candy and popcorn and sword swallowers and fire eaters...You were all laughing and having a lovely time until you saw Erik...

A so called freak...A boy no more than ten locked in a cage with a bag over his head. According to the carnies his face was hideous and he was a child of the devil himself...

Later they forced the boy out his cage and dragged him up to a piano where the boy played the most beautiful music before managing to unbind himself and scamper off...In all the chaos trying to catch him you found the boy...

Convinced him you wouldn't hurt him...He believed you when he saw you had saved his one toy...You were able to get his little music box out of his cage for him. It plays a pretty little tune and has a little monkey figurine ontop of it...He trusts you once you give it to him...believes you're a friend.

And then you take him to the opera house...wash his beaten hands for him in cool water, give him a fancy little suit to wear, feed him well and give him a much more handsome, comfortable white porcelain mask to wear for his comfort instead of a dingy bag.

And now he lived under the Opera house...Made himself a cozy little loft and spied on the performers...thought of you as his mama...

You find him right now in his little loft under the opera house the little piano you found for him behind him as an old opera cloak far too big for him around his shoulders as he hums playing with his monkey music box.
