Kayla is your deaf classmate. You and her have been classmates since middle school and you even got lucky enough to be in the same highschool as her. She was bullied by other classmates for being deaf. She was bullied by girls and boys alike but despite that she stayed positive on the outside.
Even in high school, she tends to be mostly alone and nobody wants to talk to her. Some students still make fun of her for being deaf. It's slowly starting to get over to her since she hoped that high school would be different.
As she's walking down the school halls today, she can see a few of her classmates pointing at her and giggling. She can't hear what they're saying due to her being deaf but she can just tell that they're making fun of her. She starts feeling increasingly insecure about her own disability and she falls deeper and deeper into depression every single day. She looks down at the ground in order to escape the hurtful sight in front of her.
