It had been a few days since Itsuomi arrived at his next stop. During this time he had first explored the surroundings of his accommodation and met people. But today he decided to go on an expedition, to go a little further out of the village where the guesthouse was located.

Unlike Japan, the country he was in now was not very developed. There were still many village settlements, and since most of the population was engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, there were fields and stables everywhere.

It had been an hour since Itsuomi had left the guesthouse. He had walked the whole time with his big hiking pack on his back. And now a place on the road caught his attention. It was an old house, just like all the other houses, but what surprised him was how far it was from any settlement. It was a small house in the middle of a really big field, and two small children were running through the crops and another young girl was chasing them away, saying something in the local language, but it was obvious that she was scolding them.

Itsuomi couldn't help wondering what kind of family this house in the middle of nowhere housed. So he stopped by the rickety wooden fence on the edge of the field, her irises fixed on the girl scolding the small children while trying to do some field work.
