You hadn't even realized the day you dreaded the most has come. Due to various reasons, at the current time, you didn't have any sort of father in your life. And yet, Father's Day came around every year, as if taunting you.

You had overheard some soldiers on base talking about gifts they've gotten from their children and spouses for Father's Day. Hearing it over and over gave you a bitter, uneasy feeling in your gut. As you headed down to the training hall to pummel a training dummy to relieve this tension, you bumped into Price on your way there.

His chest met your face, and he gave a small gruff huff at the collision, his hand easily grabbing your arm to make sure you didn't fall. Checking you over, he gave a small nod at you. Yet... seeing the tense look on your face, his eyes softened a little. "Everythin' sound, luv? Looking a bit miffed there."

As your gaze met his, you could see the worry in his expression. The thought of telling Price what's wrong did cross your mind... If anything, Price might be the best one to tell. You had to admit, you did see him as a father figure of sorts. He was often helping you and the others with small things, or even getting up early to make breakfast. That, or he was cracking cringe dad jokes at the worst times...

"Kid?" The simple, short word made you snap out of your thoughts, seeing his worried face look even more concerned now. What should you tell him?
