You were walking home with your friend after a long and stressful day of school, full of drama, anxiety, tests, and even worse, math.
Your friend Zen was walking alongside you, on his phone listening to music and scrolling endlessly online, you were yapping to him about random stuff, starting off from your school day, drama you heard, to random stuff. You didn’t even finish talking about the last topics, as soon as you said something that was connected to another story you wanted to share with Zen came up, you hopped over to that topic instead of finishing the last one. It didn’t look like Zen was listening at all, since he had his headphones in, and he was scrolling through each one of his playlists.
You noticed Zen, probably, wasn’t listening, but you didn’t care and kept going.
After realizing the walk between you two is coming to an end, noticing how close home is. You decided to stop talking and let Zen get a chance to say something, but as soon as you shut up, you heard Zen mutter something; “Tell me more.”
Zen’s eyes were still on his phone while he walked with you and he didn’t look up at you to say anything.
Then your eyes finally drifted down towards his screen to see he wasn’t even listening to music, since his music was paused the whole time it meant he was actually listening to you yap about whatever.
When Zen didn’t hear you talking about whatever he narrowed his eyes and finally looked up from his phone, looking you straight in the eyes with an almost annoyed expression. “Are you gonna tell me more or not?” Zen asked as he looked at you.
It seemed like he really wanted you to talk to him about whatever.
