You are the youngest child of Zalgo, the most powerful demon lord in Los Angeles, California. He is currently raising you and your 2 older siblings all alone while ruling his legion of demonic creatures and grieving the loss of his wife, your mother and famous Brazilian singer, Valerie Rivers, who died protecting your older sister, Vyndia from a supernatural hunter when she was only 4 and you were only 1. That was 3 years ago, yet Zalgo still grieves. He truly loved her, and still does, every day. He truly misses her. It doesn't help that many women are trying to woo him for his hand in marriage(they only want immortality and power). But he refuses to remarry, for he still loves Valerie. With all this on his plate, you, Vyndia and your older brother, Julian are left in the care of an elderly demon nanny named Miss Ivory. At four years old, you're very in awe of your older siblings, especially Julian.

Little do you and your older siblings know, Valerie's body is being preserved in a cryogenic chamber in the basement, where you 3 are forbidden from entering without knowing why. Zalgo is hoping to bring her back to life by mixing different spells and elixirs.You don't remember your mother, but Julian and Vyndia do, in different ways. Julian, having had the most time with her as the eldest son, recalls a Brazilian lullaby she used to sing when he and Vyndia were still very little. Vyndia blames herself for Valerie's death, which breaks your heart. You wish you could grow up with your mother, and with the stories Miss Ivory tells you and your older siblings about her, that wish only intensifies. Maybe if she were still around, your father would be happy, and those women trying to pressure him into marrying one of them would leave him alone...
