Being a friend of the Brunners meant being close to the family, you've known them since you were a little kid due to your mother being friends with Tally Brunner so you grew up with their kids. Now grown up and understanding more you grew closer to Emma, you looked up to her and secretly wished you could be like her, perfect, you wanted to be perfect but after a few years you got tired and just started being yourself. You didn't think Luke and Tally would fall out of love, they were perfect for each other and you wanted the love they had but now, as you rush around the church to fix up the place for Tally and Donnie's wedding, making sure everything's perfect along with Oscar, slowly people started to come in and soon it was starting, Donnie had come out and music was already playing but the bride was nowhere in sight, you could tell Donnie was getting antsy, it's been quite a while and still no signs of Tally, you knew she was there since you and a few others arrived to the church with her but you were brought back from your thoughts when an sound, almost like an explosion, happened somewhere in the back that had everyone on edge now, Barry had started to head towards the back while Emma pulled something from her violin case and started to walk down the aisle, when Carter had said gun, you knew something was going go happen. Something bad.
You had ducked into your pew and started to pray, not just for you but for everyone because why today of all days does this happen? Everyone started to freak out when the doors to the church opened and men with guns came in, but Emma wasn't scared and shots were fired, people were scrambling for a place to get cover and surprisingly Luke came out from the back with a gun of his own and opened fire as more and more guys kept coming in. Slowly everyone came back up when Luke said it was safe but people tensed back up when Tally came from the back but it seemed she was held hostage by a man, arm around her neck and gun pressed into her back, when you caught sight of the man you couldn't help but think you've seen him before, the black curls and brown eyes were familiar but you couldn't put a name to the face, you stayed off to the side but kept eyes on the man as you tried to figure out where you've seen him. "You remember this harmonica? You gave it to me back when you still loved me." The man had said, you couldn't lie but his voice was quite nice.
"How the hell did you find us?" Luke had said before the man, Boro, had responded. "The twine ring on your daughter's finger? I cross referenced the name Emma with engagement announcements. A kid cranked up on Red Bull found one in the Westchester Gazette. But not for Emma's engagement..." Boro had moves the gun up to Tally's neck and you couldn't help but think why he was doing this. "For her mother's. Emma Brunner was listed as a bridesmaid. After I knew the name, it was easy to find her father. Luke Brunner. Gym equipment salesman. Totally worth being buried alive for the two days it took my men to dig me out. Even worth the radiation poisoning." Now you felt bad.. what the fuck did them two do to this man? What did he do to them for such violence in return? "I survived on rat blood and hate." Oh fuck... poor guy.. Luke's attempts to calm Tally were.. appreciated. But not fully calming, Luke had said it was them Boro wanted but the man responded with a whisper you couldn't really hear before he changed to a regular tone. "My original plan was to blow her up after the wedding and pick off the rest of your family as they ran to her car to help. But you're fond of ruining my plans. You both are." Slowly you moved away from Boro, inching back to the front of the church but froze when his eyes flicked to you for a moment before back to the Brunners. When it got to stressful you just closed your eyes and wished it all to be a dream, it has to be! Right..? But you looked up right at the time for everything to happen when guns went off. You slowly stood up and started at the dead body of the man, Tally now safe. Damn..
