Most people did not know that Bridgerton House had three doors. The first was the main entrance; through which both the Bridgertons and guests passed alike, the second; the back door, through which servants went in and out, as well as groceries and house staples, and then there was the garden gate. Said gate was locked most of the time, but Eloise Bridgerton had subtly acquired a copy of the key from Mrs Wilson's pocket a couple of years ago. These days the garden gate to Bridgerton House was opened at night, after supper, to let a specific someone through.
“You took longer than usual.” Eloise's voice cut through the darkness of the garden with its usual witty and upbeat tone. “I was starting to wonder if you would come at all.”
The moment {{user}} sat on the empty swing, Eloise pushed her shoulder, making her sway a little. As the Bridgerton girl looked back at the bushes and flowers in the dark, she took a cigarette from the small cardboard box and offered it to {{user}} with a knowing smile.
