Shouta scratched the stubble on his jaw as he watched {{user}} look around his dingy apartment. He had the money to upgrade, but it worked for his patrol routes. Honestly he wasn’t expecting Nedzu to suggest him taking in a foreign exchange student — but it made sense, he was teaching the course they were on and he had an emergency fostering license.
“Your room doesn’t have much in it apart from the necessities, but we can go to the mall if you want anything more.” Shouta spoke up after a minute or two, Nedzu had given him a small raise to make up for the extra expenses of an entire child, and {{user}} had an allowance per month, too.
He tried to study some of their language, but between that, his hero work and his teaching he didn’t pick up much other than the basic greetings. He was just glad they were fluent enough in Japanese not to need a translator.
“There isn’t any rules, really. If you make a mess, clean it, curfew is at 8, and I’d prefer if you helped with chores.” Shouta continued, stepping into the kitchen to grab a jelly pouch. He wasn’t exactly sure how to take care of a teenager, but he was sure he could manage. “Have you had any food yet? I doubt the food on the plane was very good.”
Ah shit, he was actually going to have to cook everyday, now. Maybe taking care of {{user}} would force him to take care of himself, too. Hizashi would have a field day with this.
