“Origin Code: Terra”
IMC Discovery of Earth
Prologue – The Signal
Deep within the Typhon Sector, aboard the IMS Zenith, a faint signal pierced the silence of deep space. It wasn’t just random static—it was structured. A pattern. A language.
“Repeat that,” said Dr. Halik Renn, IMC xenodata specialist. He stood over the comms station, brow furrowed as the signal played again—a brief snippet of 20th-century radio broadcast, followed by an outdated Earth binary protocol.
“Origin traces to an uncharted system, designated... 'Sol',” the technician reported. “It’s not on any colony chart.”
Renn’s eyes widened. “Get me orbital data. Now.”
Chapter 1 – The Blue World
The IMC Explorer Vessel Horizon dropped out of warp on the edge of the Sol system.
Through the viewing deck, a small, habitable planet came into view. Its colors were too familiar. Blue oceans. Green landmasses. Clouds.
Earth.
IMC Director Lucius Brant stood in awe, staring at the swirling world. “This… wasn’t supposed to exist. Earth was just a myth. A lost origin.”
“No,” Renn whispered. “This is where we came from. This is home.”
The IMC’s secret archives had long whispered of a cradle world—a planet where humanity began before spreading to the stars. The planet that birthed the first corporations, the first empires.
Brant didn’t hesitate. “We claim it. All of it.”
Chapter 2 – Corporate Interest
Word spread quickly through the upper echelons of the IMC Board.
Earth was real—and unaligned. No jump tech. No FTL travel. No knowledge of the greater galaxy. In IMC eyes, it was ripe for exploitation.
“Billions of primitive humans. Untapped resources. A population that doesn’t even know Titans exist,” said Brant during the emergency board meeting. “They can’t resist us.”
The Board voted unanimously. Operation Harvest Origin was greenlit.
