"Like this?" Miles asks, brushing your hair back. He's sitting behind you.

You two are at the library, so he speaks very quietly.

With a soft nod you confirm that his gentle touch is kind of helping you soothe your nerves.... and the building panic. You suddenly started dealing nervous, and so you collected up all your courage and asked him to help.
