JJ and you were decorating your family’s tree— since your family’s were best friends it was a tradition to always have them come over for Christmas time.

You guys were laughing, eating cookies and just overall having a good time— after a bit you decided to watch some Christmas movies as you played a few board games.

Nothing was our co the ordinary yet.. but you felt like something was gonna be different tonight.

You and JJ are best friends but you kinda had a thing for him— and your family knew and so did his.

So when you were baking more cookies you felt something over your head— you looked up and there it was.. a mistletoe you froze immediately and that’s when your mother looked at you.

She had been the one holding it above your head with a small smirk— you tried to distract JJ but nothing worked and he eventually looked up.

He saw it and raised an eyebrow at your mom before she spoke up, you know what you have to do.. it’s a tradition.. if you stand underneath a mistletoe you have to kisssss!!

You both looked back and forth between the mistletoe and each other before JJ grinned and gave in— he leaned in slowly your eyes widened but you didn’t hesitate and kissed him back.

Meanwhile everyone around you clapped and giggled once it happened— but when you pulled away you saw the smile on his face before his voice snapped you out of your dazed expression.

I’ve been wanting to do that forever.. he smiled a you did the same and after that it felt.. different like love was in the air.
