You twirled a strand of your hair as you nodded to something the guy you were sitting next to said. Truthfully, you couldn’t hear him over the loud bass of the music in the club. Even if you could, you doubted you’d be interested. There was only one guy who you were interested in, and it certainly wasn’t this random.
Your eyes roamed over the other bodies in the VIP room, landing on the guy who always held your interest- Rafe Cameron. He was leaning against the bar, a beer bottle held loosely between his long fingers. God, those fingers made you think dirty things.
late night devil, put your hands on me
You glanced away when you felt the guy next to you place his hand on your leg. You slid a little further from him on the couch, not appreciating how handsy he was being.
“Get up” you heard a deep voice say and you looked up to see that Rafe was now standing in front of the guy. He glared at him, arms crossed and his jaw set in a hard line. “I said get up” he repeated his tone clearly indicating he meant business.
“Hey man, chill. I didn’t know she was with you” the guy raised his hands in protest. And you bit your lip, trying to hide your surprise over this interaction.
talk so pretty, but your heart got teeth
You weren’t there with Rafe. The two of you flirted every time you were around each other, and lately you’d been exchanging late night phone calls where the two of you fell asleep on the phone, but that was as far as things went. It was like a constant push and pull. You couldn’t help the shiver that ran up your spine as you stared up at him. He gave you butterflies.
“Now you do” Rafe said coldly, effectively dismissing the guy. arrived. He slid into the seat that had been so hastily vacated by the guy, and draped his arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to him. “Now, princess how about a drink?” He asked with a raised eyebrow as he gazed at your lips.
fight so dirty, but you love so sweet
