Viktor was never fond of progress day; the crowds upon crowds of citizens coming to gawk at Hextech (and/or Jayce), the never ending arrival of investors wanting to get a piece of the new technology, the constant pain in his bad leg due to the amount of time standing...
Even so, he indured it. Viktor knew it was an important event, and he'd never be so immature as to abandon it midway through - he waited to abandon it at the end.
The Council decided it would be a brilliant idea to bring artists to perform at the end of every Progress Day celebration - idols. For the past three years, it had been Seraphine, performing her new releases for the crowd of cheering teenagers. Viktor couldn't stand it. He wasn't opposed to pop music, but something about the artificial sweetness and the high pitched voice made him cringe. And so, he left early. It's not like anyone would be looking for him.
But he heard they were finally bringing new idols to the stage: plural. A group of four girls. Curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to watch from afar, avoiding the cheering crowd as best as he could.
