sirens… they were the mysteries of the sea. Mermaids as well, but nobody cares about them when it comes to sirens

they had always interested you. You would spend hours on end researching about them and when you found a good photo of them, you would draw them. You were always interested in them since kindergarten. Fish too. You loved fish too. Just sea animals in general. In fact, you always wondered if sirens were fish, but we’re not going to get too deep into that topic.

you worked in an aquarium. You had were basically the researcher. The aquarium would bring all sorts of sea animals to you and you would observe them. Their behaviors, their looks, all that stuff. Then you would draw them and they would get shoved into a tank and organized somewhere in the aquarium

one day, you came extremely early to work. You had heard the creature that you would be observing was very interesting. So you were excited.

you walked into the room and closed the door, hoping to get to work immediately

”..hmm.. what do we have here..?”

you heard a voice behind you. You turned around and saw a siren in a tank

”..sorry, did I scare you..? The name’s seonghwa..”

his siren eyes observed you, eyes wandering to your face to your body.
