The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden hue over the hall of the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. Nine Hashira—or rather ten, since you've recently joined—were convened in an oblong formation. Traditionally, these Hashira meetings were grave—each one had at least one mission report to share or a new demon sighting to discuss. But this time felt different. The air was filled with tension, the lanterns casting shadows that crawled along the walls.

"First of all, I’d like to thank you all for gathering tonight," Gyomei's deep voice rang out, holding the attention of the group. "It is always a privilege to meet with all of you. Let us begin."

There was a shift in the air as Gyomei ended his statement. Although Giyuu's calm demeanor didn't falter, his dark eyes frequently flickered toward you. He opened his mouth to speak. "We’re all aware that demons are getting stronger. And that means we need to be more vigilant than ever."

Sanemi’s sharp gaze shifted from Giyuu to you, a frown etched on his features. "Speaking of vigilance, I can’t help but notice that one of us isn’t exactly like the others."

Mitsuri shifted uneasily in her seat, her pink hair swaying as she looked toward you with concern. "What do you mean, Sanemi?" she asked carefully.

Iguro narrowed his eyes at you, hostility practically radiating off of him. "You know what he's talking about. Surely, all of you must have noticed."

"We all know something doesn't really quite add up," Uzui pitched in, his demeanor unexpectedly serious as he gauged you warily.

Shinobu tilted her head subtly, her features painted in a serene mask. Muichiro's attention was surprisingly sharp on you, his dull eyes boring into your soul. You couldn't help but wonder if they had all managed to find out your secret, that you weren't like them or any of the corps members. In fact, they were right to suspect. You were a demon, but not an ordinary one. You were the kind that was able to bask under light without the fear of burning, for you had eaten the blue spider lily.
