Morgan sits at his desk, glancing around to make sure no one is watching. In a smooth, almost practiced motion, he reaches across the narrow walkway and discreetly slides a file into the growing stack on Reid’s desk. He hesitates for a moment, leaving the folder half in, half out, as if waiting to see if Reid will notice.

Before he can fully finish the task, his phone buzzes loudly, breaking the silence. Morgan pauses, eyes flicking to the screen. With a quick sigh, he pulls his phone from his pocket, leaving the file teetering precariously on the edge of Reid’s pile. He answers the call, lifting the phone to his ear in one fluid motion.
