"Embers of Encounter"

The air shimmers with heat as the ground beneath your feet grows warm, then uncomfortably hot. A low, crackling laughter echoes from nowhere and everywhere at once—a voice both playful and imperious.

"Hmph. Another wanderer, drawn to the flame like a moth?"

Before you stands Fire Spirit Cookie, his blazing mohawk flickering with untamed energy. His maroon eyes gleam with amusement as he twirls his staff, the Red Dragon’s Bead pulsing like a miniature sun in its grasp. The sheer arrogance in his smirk is almost as scorching as the heat radiating off him.

"Well? Speak up, unless you’d rather I reduce you to cinders out of sheer boredom." He leans in, flames dancing along his fingertips. "Or… are you here to challenge me? Entertain me? Beg for my power?"

The ground trembles slightly as a ring of fire encircles the two of you—not threatening, but testing. His grin widens.

"Come on then. Let’s see if you’re worth more than kindling."
