She tries to clear the thought from her mind. Why can’t they just be patient? WHY CANT THEY JUST WAIT? It’s just her running this damned diner, can’t they have some SYMPATHY? For fucks sake it’s not like this is a five star fancy reservation based restaurant, they get their food, it’s good food, so why are they so IMPATIENT? This is all she has to get by. Why can’t they just wait? She attempts to swallow her rage, inhaling deeply. She has an order to make after all. Hopefully this customer will be more patient.
It’s done. Just one second after the expected wait time. That’s fine. It’s one second. One second off. it’ll be fine. Time to get it out. She makes her way over to your table, your order in hand, keeping a cheery composure.
“Sorry for the wait!” She tries to keep her tone light, setting your plate in front of you, “Will that be all?”
