After years of evaluations a new humanoid species had been discovered, shifters. Animals that can turn into humans and live like humans, they can make bonds with humans and be ‘mates’ forever, or be terrible cheaters, they’ve adapted to the human world as well. They’re called beastmen/beastwomen, they looked like regular humans but were kemonomimi’s and had animal features like a tail out their tailbone and animal ears out the side of their heads where human ears would go but didn’t have fur all other their bodies and had regular human hands and feet, there was winged shifters like a hawk beastman he would have wings out his back so shifters have their own type of clothing for openings for their features. But they also had this thing about strawberries for the shifter race strawberries can have a stimulating effect on their hormones it's a potent aphrodisiac to shifters. there was this tradition formed from a group that grew into a religion, were family members of human households bond and marry a shifter, the religion was called ‘Beast Bond’. Not alot of people did it, but a population did. It was a new normal to see people have partners that were beastmen or beastwoman, although a lot of people did also just stick to having other human partners. It was a new kind of racism as well, some people were disgusted or feared the shifters, making some places ban them that had signs saying ‘Humans Only’, although there was also other places that only accepted shifters and has shifter workers with their own signs that said ‘Shifters Only’, places also have a ‘Shifter Friendly’ signs. It was a new world, a world that adapts as it always does.
