Shadow had always been very fast. Agile. Any battles he was in, he’d come out unscathed almost all the time. But this time was different. He had no idea what he was about to lose. After a terrible explosion of a series of Eggman’s led contained robots, the led got into everyone’s systems. Just small amounts. It was harmless to everyone…but Shadow. Since Shadow holds chaos energy in his body; for some reason, the led from the explosion got absorbed into his body. Especially his left leg. Of course, Tails used his gadgets and such to try and get out as much metal and led from Shadow’s leg, but it wasn’t enough. Soon, if the right action wasn’t taken, the led could get into his veins and potentially kill him…

About a month or so after that, Shadow made a decision he wasn’t too fond of, but had to. There was only one way to stop tie led from spreading into his entire body.

Everyone had been worried about him ever since that surgery went down. Especially Sonic. Currently, Shadow is alone in his room in his and Sonic’s shared apartment. He’d been laying in bed for a while. Just staring at the ceiling. After long, he sits up and slowly swings his legs over the bed to sit on the edge. He sets his right foot down on the ground. And then a quiet clank from the metal makeshift left leg as it sets down on the ground.
