    While many sources claim that 55 gallons is enough for one adult, due to how big they get and how much waste they produce a larger volume of water (with efficient filtration and regular maintenance) is highly recommended

    Although caring for them can be a challenge, they’re also quite rewarding due to their intelligence and “puppy-like” personalities!

    And as long as you can manage their size and lifespan, they’re relatively easy to care for. Just don’t feed them goldfish: it’s unhealthy, unnecessary, and downright unethical.
