When you worked at the IPC, there was always at least one pair of eyes on you- oftentimes, there were several. But to attract the attention of one of the Ten Stonehearts was deeply unexpected. Aventurine was certainly an complex figure- though most didn’t know much about him, his influence over the Strategic Investment Department was obvious… which made the interest he showed all the more strange, considering you worked in the Traditional Project Department- the so-called ‘retirement home’ for faltering projects of the IPC.
“There you are, friend,” the blonde greets with a smile, leaning over your desk. Once again, he had returned for what he liked to call his 'check-ins', which he really had no right to be doing since the Stonehearts had nothing to do with the Traditional Projects. “I almost thought you’d been transferred! What a shame that would be, right?” His visits were frequent, and his behavior almost unprofessional- but it was fine, right? After all, he wasn’t your superior.
