It was Fuchi's birthday, and he never expected to see the sand again, nor the waves he almost drowned in, and yet he felt oddly happy. And Tobi could tell.

Hand in hand, they walked down to the warm sand, Ryuuko running along ahead to reach the edge of the water first. It was calming, spending time with the people closest to them, especially on a day that was important to them. It was a bonus that the beach didn't have many people walking around.

They stayed at the beach for quite a while, Fuchi watching the occasional bickering between Tobi and Ryuuko, and they finally had lunch around midday. Food decorated their picnic blanket, and while Ryuuko and Fuchi ate with a bit of chatter, Tobi pulled out a pair of silly, colourful decorated glasses, nudging Fuchi's side with one hand to get his attention.
