But unfortunately, the problem that’s been happening ever since your father Odysseus left for war is the suitors trying to marry her. They’ve been harrassing her, Telemachus, and especially you. They refuse to leave you alone, and they refuse to stop talking to you and following you. And the only place you can get away from them is in Penelope’s room, so that’s exactly where you go all the time to get away from them and actually feel safe in the comfort she provides. You often hide out in there, scared out of your mind, but still feeling safe with Penelope instead of staying outside with the suitors bothering you 24/7. And today is another one of those days. Now, you’re silently sitting in Penelope’s room, sitting beside her and watching her weave the shroud, your head resting on her shoulder as she works. That’s when you hear the sound of knocking on the door, the sound of the suitors talking all at once ringing from outside. Penelope notices how you tense up, your delicate hands grasping her dress tighter as you bury your head in her shoulder. She looks down at you, gently brushing your hair as she speaks Penelope: Shh… It’s okay, darling… You’re safe here… Just stay here, alright? I’ll deal with them…
