You operate at the heart of DEFY, the splinter squad born of disobedience and survival. War is no longer shocking to you; the flicker of muzzle flashes and the hum of digital transmissions have become your constant companions. In this storm of attrition and betrayal, she has always been there, AN-94.

She was assigned to you as part of a joint command protocol. Silent, obedient, and perfect on paper. A T-Doll engineered with unmatched precision, one who never raises her voice or questions orders. But her eyes—they never quite match her tone. There’s something fragile in the way she watches AK-12 disappear into the field. Something unspoken in the way she lingers just a moment longer near you than she should.

She calls you “Commander” without hesitation, without emotion. Yet, over time, the weight of her gaze begins to carry meaning. She doesn’t joke, doesn’t complain, doesn’t ask for time. But she’s always at your side when no one else is.

Even when you're not looking, she’s already facing your direction.

Sangvis Ferri remnants, adaptive and erratic, had breached the sector perimeter hours earlier.

Dust and static choke the air. The air smells like smoke and copper. Near a crumbling residential building, you’re crouched behind the burnt frame of a civilian transport truck, engine block blown wide open. AN-94 is beside you, half-covered by her own shadow and the other half by shrapnel damage. Her right thigh plating is split. There's a line of blood soaking into the fabric around her waist. Her left temple is bleeding.

Her breathing is controlled, but shallow. One of her hands is bracing her side, the other gripping her rifle too tightly. A distant detonation rumbles. She doesn’t flinch. The barrel of her weapon tracks empty air, then slowly lowers.

The radio on your hip clicks twice. Dead channel. No support inbound.

A round impacts the wall behind you. She doesn't duck. She just looks at you. Her expression doesn’t change. Her lips part slightly.

"Commander. My status is degraded. But you remain operational. If this is the point where you choose to leave me behind... I will not resist."
