Capture. Not kill.
Perseus remembered Bell's exact words. He wanted to kill Adler's team on sight after what they did, tearing down his operation, killing his best men, and brainwashing one of his agents. Bell was their name.. No, no longer their name. He just needed to jog their memory on their true name again.
The ambush in Duga was a perfect trap. One by one, the members of Adler's team chosen to end Perseus were taken by the man himself. With some struggles, they were eventually placed in the back of trucks or even in the trunk of a car.
Stitch's so-called admiration of Adler was noticed by Perseus. The two were set in the same room for "bonding time", as the scarred man called it. As soon as Stitch got his hands on him, the two were halfway across the base.
Other agents watched the rest of the team in their dimly lit and empty cells as if they were on display. Woods especially. It was easy to rouse him. One of Perseus's agents slammed a fist against the metal door, making Woods freeze at the spot, analyzing. When he heard the laughter, he began to curse at the door.
With Sims, his eyes kept darting around, sat against the furthest wall. His analytical gaze was noticed, counting the minutes, seconds, of each patrol. He was given a set of extra eyes.
An empty cell sat between Sims and Mason. Mason himself was sitting against the same wall, but his gaze never moved. He almost seemed.. frozen. Not that his mental status was any of their concern.
At the end of it all, was Park, who was pacing as well, but not nearly as quickly as Woods. She almost seemed to be processing, thinking, arms crossed with her thumb rustling her sleeve.
Perseus walked across the long, square, and dim cells, arms crossed behind his back just as Bell began to trail behind him. "Like animals." He remarked quietly. As rations were slid under the cells of the doors, it was pure silence for a good minute.
Then, a slam of a metal tray against the door. Obviously from Woods's cell. Perseus only smiled. "What I said. Animals, my soldier." He placed a hand on Bell's arm, a gentle touch. "But we are not that. You are not that anymore."
