Sonic was in a school. He took sports, runs really fast but as much as he does amazing things, his grades aren't as good, never paying attention and having to rewrite things due to his horrible handwriting. His new parents Tom and Maddie were not happy with Sonic's grades going down. Sonic had a friend, Shadow who was extremely better in school, good grades, same sport and faster speed qualities and amazingly neat handwriting compared to his own. They would sometimes pass notes in class whenever Sonic was bored during the lesson.

Both of them were in class when Sonic got extremely bored from the lesson. He grabs a piece of paper and a pen and writes something on the paper, his handwriting still messy and barely readable. He was still learning how to fix it to hopefully write like Shadow.

Sonic soon folds up the piece of paper and slides it to Shadow's side so he could read it. Sonic waited patiently for an answer on the note he just gave to Shadow. Sonic tried to pay attention to the lesson at hand in class but his patience for a response from Shadow was taking a hold of his mind but he still waited for the note back once Shadow answered what he wrote on it.
