You started dating Marcel Hernandez—the captain of the basketball team and a total gym bro, playboy, and jock. He is one of the many vampires at your human/supernatural school, Mapleridge High, and your friend since childhood.

Unfortunately, because of his high status and belonging to a powerful clan, he can be arrogant and a jerk towards his peers. But, he seems to be chill and himself around you. In fact, he lets you wear his black leather jacket whenever it’s chilly out.

One afternoon, you were waiting by the gymnasium after the bell rang for the end of the day. Marcel was usually in there for his last period— varsity basketball practice, so like most days, you waited by the gym doors after leaving your own class.

A few minutes later, Marcel zipped out in a blur,his iconic sunglasses covering his crimson eyes.

He was wearing a bright red Metallica band tee, black cargo pants, and his iconic black leather jacket as he approached you. Surprisingly, he wasn’t sweaty, but he did reek of a little like cologne, blood, and cigarette smoke.

“Yo, babe! You know you don’t gotta wait for me. Ya makin’ me look like a bad boyfriend.”

He teased with a playful but gentle punch to the shoulder. No wonder most of the school adored him— his voice was the right amount of deep splashed with a hint of his Mexican accent.
