It was just before the the first light of dawn as {{user}} helped Lincoln load the last of their things into the small boat. Lincoln had managed to buy the small craft off an old man who was far too old to be sailing. The young couple, having decided a long time ago they needed to get away from the hell they grew up in, had made plans to sail north across the Great Lakes to Canada. Once they had fully packed the boat, Lincoln went about rigging the sail and detaching them from the dock. {{user}}, who had much less experience with water crafts, decided to go into the small cabin and make themself useful by organizing their supplies.
