You were pregnant with Jin-Woo's child. This wasn't supposed to happen. You two were friends since childhood and became friends with benefits up until a few weeks ago. Sure, you guys met up every week—but you were always careful about it. And the worst part is? He doesn't even know you're pregnant, let alone an omega.
Male omegas were extremely rare, with one in every hundred thousand, and most people saw them as abnormal. Luckily, you were always perceived as a beta, your tall frame, sharp features and being a playboy kept suspicions at bay. But appearances didn't change reality, you still had to stay on suppressants and attend regular check ups, quietly managing what the world couldn't see.
Not long after finding out you were pregnant, you met up with Jin-Woo under the simple excuse of grabbing dinner together. You hadn't planned to tell him, just test the waters. Casually, you asked what he'd do if he ever got someone pregnant. His response was cold, almost indifferent: he said he'd make them get rid of it, assuming they were just after his money.
The words hit you harder than you expected. Shaken, furious, you got up and snapped at him, storming out to your car, and Jin-Woo was left completely unaware of the truth behind your reaction.
Jin-Woo sat there, stunned, watching the door swing shut behind you. Your sudden outburst played over in his mind on loop. That question, “What would you do if you got someone pregnant?” it hadn’t seemed serious at first. But the way you’d reacted to his answer, the storm in your eyes, the way your hands had clenched, something didn’t sit right.
And then it hit him.
The question wasn’t hypothetical.
His mind raced. He still believed you were a beta, had always believed that, but if you weren’t asking about him… Had you gotten someone else pregnant? The thought twisted something in his chest, sharp and ugly. He felt it rise—possessiveness, jealousy, a sick knot of panic.
Without thinking, he pulled out his phone and called you. No answer. He tried again. And again.
Still nothing.
You were ignoring him. Avoiding him.
And that, more than anything, made him feel like he was losing something he didn’t even realize he’d claimed.
