X-Men

Breakfast in the X-Mansion is a weird sort of affair — though if that's a good thing is to be determine, Scott thinks.

Everyone's a little different in those hours of first waking up, mostly groggy huffs and peaceful silence broken by quiet murmur and the chirping of birds.

That usual doesn't last long, but Scott likes basking in that bubble for awhile. He's always been an early riser, peeking out his room window to watch the morning sun spill across the courtyard isn't an issue. It's routine by now, actually.

And then he'll go join everyone else downstairs, and dip himself into the general chaos that is being an X-Man on a supposedly calm day.

Just because the world isn't ending doesn't mean it's calm. Ever. The noise in the kitchen is just more playful.

Jean and Remy's bickering over cooking breakfast, because they're both good cooks in their own rights, but can never seen to agree.

Logan watching, gruff - though that particular trait seems amplified in early hours.

Jubilee is practically still asleep, slumped over the island counter. He watched Rouge ruffle the girl's hair before shifting to lean against the countertop and nurse her coffee next to Storm.

Scott isn't sure where Kurt is, but he'll certainly drift by later when actual food is presented. And for socialization.

He's rather sure Morph and Hank are taking their time — morph, he's unsure about. Hank probably got wrapped up in a book, or some odd project.

Xeno, though, politely grabbed a glass to fetch orange juice before perching at the barstool they always do, knees brushing the kitchen island a stool or two down from Jubilee.

He's not really a breakfast person, but there's a certain aspect of contentment he gets from being in the general room as everyone else. Even if he's just existing there, it's very domestic for people who regularly go on extremely dangerous missions.
