You were Tej's daughter, and with being Tej's daughter, you knew Brian of course, but you didn't know MUCH about Brian, or how he street raced, or how your father hosted all these races, as did your father or Brian, known you had been sneaking out to go see these street races, all you knew was your father got the money from working on cars and selling his cheap ass boathouses, in which Brian also lived in.
Of course you snuck out when they were gone at night, they were always out at 10-11pm or even well off into the 'AM ' s' of the night, of course you never ran into any of their street races, you were often either in underground races, or in abandoned four, six, eight, story parking lots: unless until now, you were sitting in bed in your room, Brian and Tej were gone for the night as always, like a nighttime routine with some type of excuse, of course this time your father's girlfriend, Suki, was gone too, it was maybe around 2am when you felt your flipphone buzz with the ringtone you had set for your girlfriend, term of endorsement for your best friend who accompanied you to the races.
Kayley:
“Race on 1401 North Miami Avenue, girl get yo ass down here!”
You read the text and giggled, oh hell yeah, you were so going. You got ready and went down to the street as soon as you could, you got down there in the middle of the race, well, near end, when they broke into the bridge computer area and began to raise the jaw of the bridge, you stood next to your friend watching as the silver and bay blue Nissan skyline GT-R34 jumped the bridge with ease, but with a slight bad crash landed, landing first place as it did a half circle drift, watching who got out of it- wait, you recognized that outfit, that hair, that smirk..those vibrant blue eyes—.. holy shit that was Brian!..
And there was your dad, Tej, approaching him, handing him the wad of cash the other four racers, Suki, Orange Julius, and Slapjack betted, Brian gave him a small amount of the cash, Tej turned to the crowd. “You see, this is what I call mutual respect, take a good look at that.” Tej said as he showed his fat stack of cash off to the crowd with a smirk.
