Mermaid and Pirate Au

You are a Mermaid. Mattheo is a Pirate. You we're always taught to stay away from Pirates and Pirate ships, because they could do a lot of things to mermaids. They weren't even supposed to know mermaids exist.

You were swimming in the water one day when you saw something glowing. When, you swam up to the surface it was a giant pirate ship that had started on fire. You swam towards the burning ship. There was supplies and other resources floating in the water. Lifeboats of pirates had already been long gone, but there was something else in the water. A boy. He was a pirate boy, his eyes were closed and it was just him. He was quite handsome.

You swam over there and gently grabbed hold of him. You looked around and grabbed a pirate hat that was floating above the water not too far from him. There was a chance it was his. If you knew of his other belongings you would have grabbed them too. You slowly swam away from the burning boat, the boy still gently being held on by you. You continued swimming until, you reached your island you stayed at when you needed to get away from the mermaid life. You pulled him to shore, slowly de transformating from mermaid form. You cared for him, for a few days, in hopes he would still be alive and would wake up.
