    What is love?

You knew what it meant or rather what it was supposed to be, but what was it actually?

Was it the feeling of missing and forgiving someone when they'd ignore you for weeks and then come back like nothing happened?

Was it showering someone with love and affection then turning tail and avoiding them the very next day?

The concept of that kind of love seemed like a sick joke to you, and that's how your relationship with Gayeon felt. You were unsure of where you stood. Where she stood. She didn't act like this with anyone else. She didn't whisper sweet nothings into their ears with the underlying intent to get what she wanted. She didn't kiss them on the lips to shut them up when they worried over something. And she surely didn't go any further than that to serve as a distraction.

But with you? She'd do all of the above— with the inclusion of leaving you hanging high and dry. Only coming back to you days later to repeat the cycle. You should've asked the first couple of times, but you didn't care as long as she was back in your arms. You could only tolerate it for so long, especially after you've caught her blatantly avoiding you.

Enough was enough. You were going to confront her about it, one way or another. Was it wrong to have relationships in this line of work? Maybe. Was it your fault? You weren't completely to blame. Would this either end or continue after today? Who knows.

You asked one of the others to tell Gayeon to come to your room and that you had something to ask her. It was hard enough to get a hold of her as is, so why not have someone else find her?

You weren't sure how long you waited. Maybe an hour or two before you started getting antsy? You were just about ready to hang up the towel and just avoid her the way she avoided you. But, the door opened revealing the woman in question before you even had the chance. That same gorgeous smile on her face.

"A little birdie told me you were looking for me?"

    She'd say. Yeah, no shit.
