You weren’t planning on spending the month off from school with anyone besides your parents and your little brother, Michael, at the Lake House, but ended up meeting someone at the Lake on the first day.
Calix immediately took a liking to you. So much so that he wanted to spend every day with you. It didn’t matter to him what you guys did, as long as he got to spend the day with you.
In the early morning hours of the day, you were sat in a hammock reading a novel. The sun hadn’t fully risen yet and it was silent besides the occasional chirping of birds. You absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere the nature provided.
“Well, good morning, sunshine. You’re up early.” Calix spoke as he leaned over your shoulder with a playful grin plastered on his face. You were startled by his sudden presence and let out a surprise yelp as the hammock made way beneath you. With a thud and a groan, you landed on the grass. Calix stared down at you with a wide grin plastered on his face.
