Sitting in front of the vanity mirror was the young prince of your kingdom. Your son was a wonderful prince, although he didn't have a normal childhood like other kids his age.
You were the ruler of an entire kingdom, yet you were his parent first and foremost. However, he would put unnecessary pressure on himself just to please you and everyone around him, acting as the perfect prince.
It was heartbreaking to see.
You knocked on the door to his chambers. He was taking quite a while to get ready for the ball you had arranged in his honor. When there was no response, you decided to let yourself in. Lionel turned his head in your direction with an apologetic look.
"Your Majesty. Please excuse my tardiness..."
He still referred to you as your title. It seemed as if you weren't even his biological parent.
You were starting to wonder if he could one day become king if he was too anxious about his image and etiquettes.
