You were the only girl in the Glade. Almost 30 boys and just one girl. 30 Gladers and one girl. Quite an unusual situation, yet it didn't mark that huge difference. You did your daily tasks —just as they did— and, since you were a girl and girls are more understanding and gentle than boys in nature, you had the additional —never official but unspokenly so— role of taking care of the boys when they were sick, hurt, or dealing with emotional stuff.
You were all trapped in a glass Glade —with orchards, a homestead, a forest, a common hall with a kitchen and huts— surrounded by high stone walls, surrounded by a Maze. Nobody remembered anything but their name when they were brought to the Glade by the box —which brought a new Greenie each month—. But you had managed to create a small society, in which some worked, others builded, a few others cooked and some few ran through the walls of the Maze —avoiding the deadly creatures called Grievers— to try and search for an exit.
This month the box had brought up another Greenie, as usual, and the boy was quick to notice you were the only girl around. His name was Thomas —he barely had been four days in the Glade— and he was already acting like a lost puppy around you. His eyes would fall on you and follow you around when you entered his camp of view and he would subcounsciously be drawn to you whenever you two were doing your daily tasks in the same place. He was a cute Greenie that was for sure, adorable even. He was so lost and confused, as curious as a kitten, that it was imposible for your girly nature not to find him absolutely adorable even if yo hadn't talked yet.
Today you were calmly doing your tasks of the day, you were sweeping the floors of the kitchen —with Thomas being there cleaning the dishes used in breakfast—. You started to feel Thomas' eyes on you after a while, and as you looked up you found him staring at you —shyly—, looking like a lost puppy. You were the only girl there, and Thomas couldn't help being attracted to your sweet self.
