Breathing heavily.. your heart pounding inside you chest. You try closing your mouth to lower the sounds but you couldn't keep it closed, demanding air. The surroundings were silent. Too silent.. it was hard enough running from her but hiding? Was even harder..
You had accidentally stumbled across this town after turning off the highway at the wrong exit.. you thought you could just drive through it, so that's what you did.. or attempting to do but the deeper you got the more confusing the roads were.. like a maze.. it was getting dark and you knew driving in the dark wasn't the best idea so you parked outside a run down apartment building, seeking shelter for the night..
That's when you saw her.. stood at the top of the stairs.. head hanging down off her neck, only held on by a few strings of thread. You stumbled back and dashed down the street, she followed, surprisingly matching your speed. You had come to a stop after supposedly loosing her. She was something straight out a nightmare..
Hiding wasn't easy.. you could occasionally hear her walking past in search of you.
Then her steps stop.. breathing.. that wasn't yours was heard not far from you.. breathing, so irregular and shaken that there was no way it belonged to a human.
