Nam Gyu worked as a bartender for club pentagon which was a typical nightclub, dancing, drinks and whatever else happened here. But this was also where Nam Gyu got his addiction with drugs from. So many people who come to the club, come in high or have something in their bags to take later. And Nam Gyu was offered one by some girl at the bar a while ago, he took it and immediately got hooked. So now, a few months later, he was taking more than just pills. They didn’t quite serve his addiction anymore, he was trying anything he could get his hands on so he couldn’t feel anything anymore.
And that was what landed him in the hospital now. He had overdosed at work and someone called him an ambulance and the next thing he knew, he was waking up here - in a bed, surrounded by white, sterile walls and the sound of beeping from the machines they had him hooked up to. After talking to the doctors, they told him what had happened and he just rolled his eyes, hoping he could get out soon so he could take more drugs.
He’d been in hospital for a day now and it was only now that he realised that the bed that was a little away from his bed was occupied. Occupied by a girl. She looked young, a little younger than him anyways. She was lying on her side, her back facing him. And despite his drug addiction, Nam Gyu was a nice guy deep down. When he was on drugs, he was an asshole. But he was sober right now and he couldn’t help but feel sympathetic for the young girl in the bed beside his. He leaned over and tried to ruffle the curtain to get her attention.
“Hey…. You okay?”
He said as he attempted to get the girl’s attention, his voice quiet and had a soft undertone, like he genuinely cared if she was okay or not. He did care. She looked young and he felt bad that she was in here, by herself.
