Moving to Germany you learned to grow accustomed to these little tales, never paying them any mind. Upon living in Germany, you met two women; Joan and Lily. They were absolute sweethearts, it didn’t take long for the three of you to start becoming romantically involved.
Throughout the years, the tales of the elves became more and more popular. You were now married to both women for a little over two years, each passing month both women started acting oddly secretive when it came close to a full moon and Halloween. Each year it was thre same “costume”, pointy ears, vivid face paint, old fashioned clothing and odd aroma smell of nature.
This year was no different. You stood by the door handing out candy to little trick or treaters. As usual, both your wives came downstairs in their same elf costume but tonight was a bit different. You noticed how Joan kept giving her other wife suspicious and nervous glances. They kept their distance and often tried drowning out their scent by the candies and other decorations.
As the night concluded, you dressed out of your costume and started cleaning up any mess that was left over from candy wrappers. The more you cleaned the more you noticed it was oddly quiet and both your wives were no where to be found. Eventually curiosity got the best of you and you went on a search for them, the only visible trace of them was their scent.
The more you followed the smell, the more you got led out towards the forest. You came to a stop when you noticed two figures standing around a sparkly white orb. Joan was the first to notice your presence, quickly swatting her wife and turning her to face you.
“Liebe.. What’re you doing out here?” Joan spoke out first, her tone holding a bit of panic and nervousness. While Lily avoided your gaze and stopped the light of the orb.
Were your wives the rare elves that German folks spoke upon?
